DJI AVATA 2: LEAKED PHOTOS OFFICIAL DESIGN, SPECS & RELEASE DATE

So it seems the long anticipation for DJI’s next generation FPV drone will finally be over. More leaks have started emerging with each passing day and we are expecting a big leap for the DJI Avara 2 this year. Since the launch of DJI Avata, It has been the drone to have due to its compact design, high quality imaging and user-friendly features. Already an image of the drone packaging is being shared online indicating that the drone is ready to go live. All you have to do is wait till the official event. So Let’s find out more about the DJI Avata 2 and also its release date.

‘’Quadro New’s’’ who is known to be a reliable tipster recently shared pictures of the avata 2’s actual packaging on his X account. This also gives us a glimpse of the new Avata 2 which is completely redesigned compared to Avata.

The drone has been flattened making it more compact than before. This will also make the drone more stable in the air and you will be able to fly with confidence. The camera module also seems to have changed with a more forward facing design but no gimbal yet for the Avata. So you have to rely on EIs stabilization completely but because of the compact size now, you can fly the drone in more congested places with ease and get more breathtaking shots. However we hope the turtle mode is still there since it can be quite handy if the drone falls on the ground unexpectedly.

The back side of the packaging also shows some specs and what’s going to be inside such as charging cables and extra propellers. The motion controller also looks to have some changes with a more compact size.

Right now its pretty obvious that the launch for the next Avata is near. A road map shared by deals drone confirms that Avata 2 will be available in April.

Beside DJI has just hit the new FCC listing of the US database along with goggles 3, DJI remote controller 3 and RC motion 3 joystick controllers that have received the green signal from the FCC test bench. Usually an FCC listing appears right before the release of that product. According to some rumors DJI is likely to hold an event on the 11th of April and that’s most likely to be the launch event for the upcoming sine hoop drone.

Regarding the camera specs there is still not much information available. But we are expecting the same 48 megapixel camera with a 1 x 1.7 inch sensor which delivers decent enough image quality for a FPV style drone.

The battery life also needs to be upgraded. I think there is very little chance of that since the body of the drone has been shrunken quite a bit. And I will be really surprised if DJI actually manages to offer a longer flight time than the original Avata which delivers 18 minutes of flying time. So it’s only a matter of couple of weeks before we get to see Avata 2 in action.
